HAMPTON, Ga (07/19/21) – Just a week after winning her first career at the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Ashton Winger added two more to the tally with triumphs at Michigan’s Thunderbird Raceway and Ohio’s Oakshade Raceway .

The third and fourth victories of the 2021 season came at the wheel of the Winger EZ-GO No. 12 Super Late model Dekalb / Johnny Doan Plumbing / Keyser Manufacturing / Clements Racing Engine.

“I’m blessed. I’m 21 and I can run and do what I love. I’m super grateful,” Winger said in Victory Lane. “We’ve had some bad luck this year and some tough times, and It’s starting to happen. My goal was to win a national summer feature, and now I’ve won three in a week. A little crazy, and I hope we can keep that momentum going. “

Ashton Winger entered week four of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals competition on Wednesday night at Circle City Raceway (Indianapolis, Indiana) as the track made its Hell Tour debut after it opened in early 2021. Pulling 25 models late, Ashton posted a third-place finish in his qualifying race, placing him ninth on the starting grid for the main event. Improving three places in the 40-lap affair, Winger registered a sixth place.

The following night at Thunderbird Raceway (Muskegon, Mich.), Winger dominated the 33-car field in the time trials before claiming victory in the qualifying race. With the draw placing him second on the starting grid of the main event, Winger followed his front row compatriot Tanner English in the opening laps before moving to the lead on 16e knees. He led the last 14 circuits of the 40 laps to claim his second Dirtcar Summer Nationals victory and his third victory of his season. He took the ladies ahead of Bobby Pierce, English, Jeep Van Wormer and Travis Stemler to claim a salary of $ 5,000.

After Friday’s scheduled stop at Hartford Speedway (Hartford, Michigan) was rainy, Ashton walked to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Saturday afternoon for the 23rd annual anniversary race.

In a season-tallest 53-car field, Winger beat Devin Shiels late in his qualifying race to claim the 10-lap victory. Receiving the third starting position for the A-Main via the toss, Ashton edged out race leader Jeep Van Wormer on 22sd round and led the remaining 28 circuits to claim his second consecutive triumph at the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and a prize of $ 10,000. Bobby Pierce, Tanner English, Rusty Schlenk and Van Wormer followed him across the line.

On Sunday, Winger stopped by Red Cedar Speedway Red Cedar Speedway (Menomonie, Wisconsin) for the sanctioned World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series program. After finishing second in his qualifying race, Winger encountered mechanical problems before the start of the function which set aside his No.12 entry. He charged from the tail of the pack in the late model No.28 belonging to Sat March to complete 16e.
