Cleaning – Flexible Couplings Sat, 01 Oct 2022 05:50:00 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Cleaning – Flexible Couplings 32 32 In St Paul’s Bay, cleaning crews cannot track rubbish Sat, 01 Oct 2022 05:50:00 +0000

A St Paul’s Bay family living in Triq l-Iskuna had to deal with a rat infestation as a colony of rodents nested in an old mattress left on the family’s doorstep for more than two years.

“After several reports, they finally took it down,” a family member said.

The family are among several residents of St Paul’s Bay facing deteriorating health conditions as authorities struggle to manage rubbish collection, bulk litter and rubbish in Malta’s most populous city.

The problem persists despite the fact that, since the beginning of this year, employees of the Cleaning and Maintenance Division have been deployed every afternoon, picking up an average of 15 tons of waste per day from Monday to Sunday.

Several residents expressed their concerns Malta weather. Resident Alexandra Tutulan said rubbish is sometimes left to ferment for two or three days in the heat.

“We are hit with a really bad smell of rotting garbage every time we leave our building, she said.

Garbage is a serious problem in Triq l-Iskuna, according to a resident who also complained about the rat infestation.

“People keep throwing stuff everywhere,” she said.

Greta Staknienė said many areas are littered with empty water bottles, cans and plastic bags.

St Paul’s Bay Deputy Mayor Carlos Zarb said the locality’s large population means that waste problems are proportionately greater than in other locations.

A preliminary report from the 2021 National Census showed that the population of St Paul’s Bay has almost doubled in 10 years, reaching 32,000 in 2021. Much of this growth is attributed to immigration.

Two residents attributed the problem to a number of strangers who are unfamiliar with the schedules of the garbage collection system.

Recyclable, biodegradable and mixed waste is intended to be placed in bags of different colors and taken out on specific days.

A fine is supposed to be imposed on anyone who fails to meet the timetable, but enforcement is lacking, the deputy mayor said. He said a better rubbish collection system needs to be put in place, including the introduction of underground bins, he said.

Questions have been sent to the Local Enforcement System Agency, the responsible entity, but no response has been received at the time of writing.

A St Paul’s Bay resident working at a hotel in the area said: ‘Sometimes I don’t understand why tourists come here. As soon as I open my front door, I see garbage bags.

Malta Hotel and Restaurant Association chairman Tony Zahra said the cleanliness problem had been prevalent for many years with some improvements noted for a short time before it “returned to where it started “.

“It’s one of our main tourist destinations and we have to keep the area clean all the time,” he said.

The Cleaning and Maintenance Division has invested in a refuse collection vehicle, a high-pressure street cleaner and two dedicated crew cab dump vans solely for St Paul’s Bay, according to general manager Ramon Deguara.

“Unfortunately, in this locality, waste collection services have to be more frequent because the demand is very high. Illegal trash dumped on sidewalks is out of control,” Deguara said.

“The spilled items range from monitors to furniture, appliances and mattresses,” he added.

]]> Muslim cemetery clean-up project launched to restore dignity to final resting place of loved ones Tue, 27 Sep 2022 04:02:59 +0000

Mowbray Muslim Cemetery has launched a Community Involvement Weekend from Saturday 29th to Sunday 30th October. PHOTO: KAYLYNNE BANTOM

To restore the dignity and honor of deceased loved ones, Mowbray Muslim Cemetery has launched a Community Involvement Weekend where the public is invited to be part of a clean-up operation.

The initiative which will take place over two days from Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 October will give people the opportunity to clean and improve the graves of their loved ones.

Adv Shameemah Dollie Salie, a member of the Muslim Cemetery Board, says the private cemetery based at the Observatory has a history that stretches back to the 1800s.

“We have many old graves and a lot of heritage in the cemetery. What we have discovered over the years is that many headstones have been damaged. It is important to remember our heritage and our culture and we want to restore the sense of pride in where we come from and our ancestors.

Salie explains that under the bylaw, responsibility for individual graves rests with the family, while the cemetery and surrounding area is the responsibility of the cemetery board.

“So we would like to encourage the community to understand the importance of caring for the graves of their loved ones and also to be put in a position where we are reminded where we need to go back and the importance of living a life that will be remembered and rewarded by the Almighty.

She explains that the cleaning is crucial for the geolocation project that is in preparation for the cemetery.

“For the grave of your loved one to be geotagged, it is important that the gravestone is visible so that we can identify the deceased who rests in a particular grave so that the geotagging is effective.

“Geo-tagging will be done so that family members can identify on an app where their loved one is buried, as the name will appear and the vicinity of the grave will also be noted on the app.

Salie explains that if family members want their loved ones’ graves geotagged, “it’s important that they go out and identify those individual graves” and clean them up.

“During the Covid-19 period, many people were unable to welcome and send their loved ones in the way we are used to. This cleansing allows the community to come together and say their prayers and find some form of closure for the departure of so many loved ones. »

Sheikh Riad Fataar, second vice president of the Muslim Judicial Council (MJC-SA) and president of the MJC funeral administration, says they welcome the initiative.

“This is the resting place of our loved ones, and they should be honored and respected where they are. Everyone should come and make sure the graves of their loved ones are clean and look respectable.

He adds: “If you are cleaning the grave of a loved one, take the time to look around and attend to a grave that may be neglected and may not be that of a member of family or a friend. In this way, we preserve the dignity and honor of those who have passed away.

Salie says people are encouraged to bring their shovels, bags, buckets and gloves and get involved in the initiative.

“Present at the cemetery on weekends are a range of service providers and operational partners of the cemetery. Also participating are Things on Wheels, Bismillah on the Lounge and Good Hope Meat Hyper which will provide meals over the weekend at no cost to attendees.

Salie says she hopes the initiative will be successful so it can be rolled out to other cemeteries.

“The community can go out; we invite people to bring edibles to share with others. We will have those kinds of facilities available. If others feel they want to do the same, we welcome the initiative to spread, and any organization or supplier who wishes to join us and wishes to donate food, cleaning supplies or cold drinks is invited to do so.

Cleaning Innovations Company demonstrates how cost savings and sustainability go hand in hand Wed, 21 Sep 2022 16:01:38 +0000

Posted 7 minutes ago

Proposed by Tersano, Inc.

Tersano is a private Canadian company that manufactures sustainable cleaning technologies. With their innovative products and solutions, they make cleaning safer for people and the planet, while helping businesses significantly reduce costs, time and labor at every step of the process.

Tersano manufactures devices that convert ordinary tap water into an all-in-one cleaner, disinfectant and deodorizer on the spot and on demand. The best part? Tersano’s solution contains no harsh chemicals. Instead, it harnesses the natural oxidizing power of water-infused ozone to kill 99.999% of germs, including those responsible for the novel coronavirus disease.

hexagons with the words Innovation and Tersero in them

The need for innovation

Having a clean space is more than an aesthetic function – it prevents the spread of germs and keeps building occupants healthy. However, cleaning with harsh chemicals can also be harmful to human health and the environment.

For humans, excessive or harmful exposure to traditional cleaning products may irritate eyes, skin, upper respiratory tract and throat. In more severe cases, shortness of breath and poisoning can occur when these harsh solutions are ingested.

In addition, traditional cleaning products negatively impact the environment. As noted novelty magazines, the chemical content of conventional cleaning products can act as an endocrine disruptor for wildlife, contribute to water and air pollution, and even bioaccumulate in plants and animals.

Additionally, traditional cleaning products require extensive training, preparation, shipping, handling, and processes that can reduce workplace efficiency and increase operating costs.

Thus, with the need for innovation being felt, Tersano set up in 2001 to Change the way the world cleans.

cleaning technology

SAO bridges the gap between sustainability and profitability

In the early 2000s, Tersano founder and current CEO Steve Hengsperger invented and patented Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO®)a cleaning solution scientifically proven to kill 99.999% of germs without harsh chemicals.

SAO is certified and accredited by global sustainability change leaders such as green seal and EcoVadis. Moreover, SAO is trusted and used every day around the world – even leading brands like Google, Nestlé and Ford Motor Company have adopted the solution. As more brands and names convert to ODS, the need for harsh chemicals becomes increasingly obsolete.

In addition to durability, Tersano’s world-renowned SAO solution has many benefits: improved safety for staff and guests, reduced labor costs, cleaner environments, simplicity, and more. However, one of the most important benefits for businesses is cost reduction. Through on-site production, reduced health and safety risks, reduced resource consumption and reduced chemical usage, SAO bridges the gap between sustainability and profitability.

closed loop graph

Shorter supply chain, lower costs

ODS is a unique solution in that it reverts to water and oxygen after use. SAO remains a certified disinfectant for up to 24 hours and a certified cleaner for up to 6 days before naturally returning to the environment. Tersano does not ship ODS solution in plastic bottles. Instead, their devices allow businesses and consumers to instantly convert ordinary tap water to ODS on the spot and on demand.

The cleaning industry recognizes this concept as generation on site (OSG) and it is an effective method to reduce carbon emissions and the use of plastic. However, Tersano’s technologies and solution differ from conventional OSG technologies because the operator simply flips a switch on the device to perform the conversion. There’s no mixing, batching, or wastage, and it’s all accomplished with just water, on the spot, on demand, and in seconds.

Local production is not only better for the planet, it is also better for profit. OSG, pre-dilution and on-demand dispensing dramatically reduce time and labor. Meanwhile, eliminating the need for single-use spray bottles keeps plastics out of our planet’s landfills, helping businesses reduce their waste generation.

words risk v profit

Reduced risks, increased profits

With a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) rating of 0-0-0, Tersano’s SAO solution does not harm the planet or human health. Safer cleaning for the environment and people also translates into cost savings: by eliminating the need for hazardous materials training, companies save time, labor and resources.

Since SAO converts to water and oxygen after use, it is completely safe to dispose of it down the drain. SAO does not need to be “flushed” with water down the drain, saving staff time and resources while protecting our waterways.

In addition, SAO is residue-free. Using ODS to clean floors also increases safety by reducing the risk of dangerous slip and fall accidents. For example, a Tersano Hotel client who switched to SAO saw a 70% reduction in slip and fall accident lawsuits on his site, which also translated into cost savings. costs.

save with heaps of quarters

Less resources, more savings

When surfaces are cleaned with hazardous chemicals, it is often necessary to rinse the surface afterwards with water. SAO eliminates this step.

As a no-rinse, no-residue solution, SAO helps businesses and consumers save water, time and costs all at once. Reducing water usage not only helps the environment, but utility bills as well.

by Tersano clients said they saved thousands of gallons of water per month, which translated into lower utility costs. Meanwhile, they calculated additional labor savings by eliminating the extra step of rinsing surfaces with water after cleaning.

As a no-rinse solution, SAO preserves one of the planet’s most vulnerable resources, again bridging the gap between sustainability and cost savings.

x by traditional cleaning products, revolve around new technologies

Fewer products, maximized profit

by Tersano Stabilized aqueous ozone is an all-in-one, all-purpose, no-rinse solution. Unlike traditional cleaning chemicals and other on-site generation technologies, Tersano’s devices dispense a single safe, suitable and effective solution for virtually any application: surfaces, glass, floors, stainless steel, high touch points and even food contact. areas.

In fact, many Tersano customers have reported replacing over 90% of their harsh cleaning chemicals with ODS, helping them to significantly reduce time with less products to manage as well as the costs of all harsh chemicals that they no longer need to buy.

SAO: the cost and eco-efficiency solution

Tersano’s innovative cleaning solution and technologies do not compromise between sustainability and profitability. Instead, Tersano demonstrates how cost savings and environmental servitude can go hand in hand, producing positive results for all important facets: people, planet and profit.

Forest & Ray provides teeth cleaning in Camden Mon, 19 Sep 2022 23:52:36 +0000

London, England –

Forest & Ray – Dentists, Orthodontists, Implant Surgeons, a dental clinic in London, UK is pleased to announce that they are pleased to announce that they also offer teeth cleaning services in camden, which is a district in North West London. And they want to emphasize that professional teeth cleaning is essential because even though people brush their teeth, floss and use mouthwash at least twice a day, there are places in the mouth that are difficult to reach and an ordinary toothbrush cannot get rid of all the plaque on the teeth. In addition, tartar is very difficult to remove with just regular brushing and, like dental plaque, it accumulates over time without professional tooth cleaning.

Tartar buildup on teeth makes them look crusty and yellow, instead of a white, healthy smile. Tartar is also one of the causes of bad breath and it contributes to the breakdown of calcium on tooth enamel and accelerates the development of dental caries. And bacteria that attach themselves to tartar can cause gingivitis which, if not caught in time, can lead to a more serious type of gum disease called gingivitis.

All of this can be avoided by removing accumulated tartar through teeth cleaning provided by a professional dental hygienist. Dentists recommend cleaning your teeth at least every six months in addition to a self-care routine of brushing and flossing regularly. Professional teeth cleaning usually begins with dental scaling where the dental hygienist uses a portable dental scaler. Then, the polishing of the teeth is carried out using a specialized toothbrush with a small round brushing surface. It is designed to remove any residual tartar and polish the surface of the teeth. The polished surface of the teeth makes it much more difficult for tartar to form.

At Forest & Ray, they offer two types of dental cleanings: prophylaxis, full mouth grafting. Prophylaxis is the type of tooth cleaning that is needed to get rid of plaque buildup that cannot be removed by regular brushing at home. It includes both tooth polishing and airflow. According to new data, professional teeth cleaning is recommended every eight to 16 weeks to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. A full mouth graft is necessary if the natural teeth have not been professionally cleaned for over a year and there is a heavy build-up of tartar.

The high quality of their services is evidenced by the positive reviews they have received. Currently, they have an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars on Google. In a recent review, Honorata K. gave all five stars and said, “Super nice and nice employees. I really recommend. I was afraid of the dentist but Dr. Nikolas is very kind, he takes care of the patient gently and always asks if everything is ok. The ladies at the reception are very nice and polite as well as the lady who helps the doctor during the visit. I really recommend it with a clear conscience.

Established in 2007, Forest & Ray is located in central London, within walking distance of the British Museum. They offer dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, conservative dentistry and orthodontics. And they are committed to providing the highest quality dental care at a reasonable price. They understand the importance of a personal doctor-patient relationship and always strive to foster that relationship in a healthcare environment. They always do their best to detail the different options so patients can choose and only pay for the services they really want. And they make sure there are no hidden fees.

Those who are interested in knowing more about teeth cleaning in camden may visit the Forest & Ray website or contact them by phone or email.

Dear Annie: 12 year old girl is a real slut and doesn’t know the definition of cleaning up after herself Sat, 17 Sep 2022 15:30:00 +0000

DEAR ANNIE: I’ve been reading your column for a while and now I have a situation of my own. I hope you can help me. I have been with my girlfriend for 10 months and I am ready to propose very soon. We get along pretty well, make each other laugh, build each other up and communicate well too, so things couldn’t be better. The only problem is that her 12 year old daughter is a total slob and doesn’t know the definition of cleaning up after herself.

She constantly leaves clothes, toys, and fake nails strewn around the house, and it makes no difference whether her mother is asking her nicely or really picking on her. You can’t make her clean up after herself and, even beyond that, make her do chores in general. At first I had thought of suggesting an allowance, but I don’t think there’s an amount of money that would motivate this girl to do anything (besides, her mom isn’t exactly in a situation financial institution to distribute money on a regular basis). She’s a girl whose mother legitimately offered her a $100 bill to do the dishes, and she wouldn’t. His mother and I were informed by his son that his sister had made the comment that she “doesn’t want to have to work for this”.

All in all, she’s a good girl. Her mother receives good reports about her when she spends the night with friends; she and I get along well; and she is great with my family and babysits well for my brother and sister-in-law, but at home we can’t motivate her to do anything when it comes to cleaning and chores – – and then she has the nerve to wonder why her mother goes crazy with her sometimes. Needless to say, her mother is extremely frustrated and lost. The problem for me is that we want to move in together, but I’ve told him before that I don’t want or need his daughter trashing the house I live in. What do we do ? — Take care of a little pig

DEAR LITTLE PIG: I can certainly understand where your girlfriend and mutual frustration is coming from. This young girl’s behavior is simply unacceptable and, now approaching adolescence, it’s time for her to face the music whether she likes it or not.

Since money doesn’t seem to be a motivation, maybe it’s time to take the things that matter to her away from her – like going to her friends’ house for sleepovers or for some extracurriculars – until she begins to contribute to the house. If we all put off the things we didn’t want to face, nothing would ever get done. This will show him that we cannot do the things we want unless we also make time for the things we need to do.

And on that subject of the future, now might also be a good time to talk to your girlfriend about what being a stepdad will look like and the limitations that might come with this new role. It sounds like you have a strong relationship and have a good connection with his kids, so you should be able to work things out.

Beware of companies that advertise cheap air duct cleaning Thu, 15 Sep 2022 22:00:30 +0000

The bait and switch commercials are the ones promoting a $199 whole house cleaning.

You’re not alone if you’ve ever received a flyer in the mail promoting a whole house deal for $199, $99, or some other deceptively low amount. The companies behind these ads make the whole industry look terrible, and for many disgruntled owners, duct cleaning is a waste of money.

This is because the interpretation of duct cleaning by these companies does not use proper practices. The bait and switch commercials are the ones promoting a $199 whole house cleaning. When they come in for the cleaning, they’ll probably clean a dozen ducts for the first $199, then surprise you with a quote for the rest of the duct cleaning. They seduce you with the promise of low cost, then change it at the last minute.

In terms of actual technique, many businesses, including those that don’t engage in bait and switch scams, use a shop vacuum to clean ductwork. A shop vac can only reach about 3 feet of ductwork behind each vent cover. They are not long enough to clean up to the main trunk. Even if you find a company that cleans ducts effectively, if you don’t pay their exorbitant fees to clean all the ducts, the cleaning will be a waste of money. When you turn the air back on, any remaining dirt and debris recirculates through the clean the ductsas if the cleaning had never taken place.

The Municipality of Riga plans to take over the cleaning of sidewalks in winter / Article Wed, 14 Sep 2022 07:00:02 +0000

The sidewalks in Rīga in winter often look like a patchwork: where one has perfectly cleared the sidewalk adjacent to his house, another has not done so at all. Therefore, the municipality plans to resume work. The change of order would take the next three years.

“We will develop this service so that the machines are equipped with cameras so that we can check the quality, Rīga Mayor Mārtiņš Staķis said. The work is scheduled to be done overnight so that the sidewalks are cleared in the morning.

A gradual transition to centralized sidewalk clearing will begin this winter season with the historic center and its protection zone. This area is first selected because the city center has a large number of cultural and educational establishments and government and local services.

It is estimated that cleaning all sidewalks adjacent to city streets in winter will cost the municipality around 3.2 million euros per year. The rest of the time, the owners will have to keep the sidewalks clean in the same way as before, in particular by collecting leaves and litter.
