County Durham street left without water supply after ’emergency’

A street in County Durham has lost its water supply after utility companies confirmed emergency repairs were needed to fix a ‘problem’.

According to Northumbrian Water, residents of Springfield Gardens in Chester-le-Street will experience sewage outages until around 5.30pm.

The cause of the problem is unknown at this time, but news of the repairs was confirmed by the water company on its social media account at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon June 20.

Posting on its social media account, Northumbrian Water said: “Emergency repair required on DH3 Chester-Le-Street.

“The water supply around Springfield Gardens may be affected until 5:30 p.m.

“Thank you for your patience DH3.”

Northumbrian Water has been contacted for comment regarding further information on the water outage.
