Sales tax exemption for certain disaster preparedness supplies

ORLANDO, Florida – The Florida Department of Health in Orange County encourages the community to prepare for hurricane season and take advantage of the 2022 state disaster preparedness sales tax suspension on certain supplies disaster preparedness.

Consumers can purchase qualifying tax-exempt disaster preparedness supplies during the 2022 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Exemption. Passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis, the holiday of sale begins on Saturday May 28, 2022 and continues until Friday June 10, 2022.
