South East Regional Seniors Spotlight: Mansfield’s Trista Sicard

SOUTH EASTON — Principal Leslie Weckesser is pleased to recognize Trista Sicard as a senior class of 2022 in the spotlight.

Sicard is a senior in the professional plumbing program. She chose the program because it was what she enjoyed most about the freshman exploratory program. Her mother is also a chief estimator at NEI, a general contracting firm, and she felt she could see herself in the industry through her mother.

Sicard currently works at GEM Plumbing and Heating. For most of her time there, she worked in elderly housing in Hanover, installing showers, toilets, kitchen sinks, toilets, storm drains and more. As an apprentice plumber, she measures, cuts and installs piping and is usually paired with a master plumber.

While at Southeastern, Sicard completed several advanced placement courses and holds a 4.4 GPA. She was named to the honor roll every semester.

She is the senior class president, a student representative for the school council, and serves on the Student Athletic Advisory Board, a club that promotes the idea of ​​”One Southeastern” by participating in athletic weeks and sports. ‘spirit. The club also helps plan senior nights for student-athletes.

Sicard competed in both indoor and outdoor athletics, serving as captain during his junior and senior years. She has received several awards, including Female Athlete of the Year, Most Valuable Player for Women’s Outdoor Track and Field, and Mayflower Athletic Conference Player of the Year for Indoor Track and Field. She holds indoor athletics school records for the high jump, long jump, 55 meters and 55 meters hurdles, and outdoor athletics school records for the triple jump and 100 meters hurdles.

After graduating, she plans to attend Babson College majoring in management for project management or construction management. She also plans to continue athletics in college.

Southeastern Senior Spotlights are chosen based on high academic and professional achievement. Seniors are selected from each of the nine cities served by the Southeast and are highlighted ahead of the graduation ceremony which will take place this year on June 8.
