The cost of recruiting a Filipino domestic worker is SR 10,752.50

RIYADH – The Musaned portal, under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), has announced that the cost of recruiting a Filipino domestic worker through the service (Maarofa) is SR 10,752.50. , Taxes included.

The Musaned program provides the service (Maarofa) that allows people to recruit a selected Filipino domestic worker of their choice. The resumption of recruitment from the Philippines to Saudi Arabia would start from November 7.

Musaned pointed out that the recruitment office or company does not guarantee the worker chosen by the employer himself.

It should be noted that the MHRSD has ordered recruitment companies and establishments that the cost of hiring domestic workers does not exceed the approved upper limit set by the ministry.

The ministry said it aims to regulate the procedures and governance of prices in the recruitment market, as well as to control and monitor their implementation to ensure the quality of the services provided.

The ministry ordered that the recruitment cost not exceed the upper cap for domestic workers of each nationality.

The maximum cost cap for hiring domestic workers from some major countries is: SR 9,500 — Uganda; SR 10,000 — Thailand; SR10,870—Kenya; SR13,000—Bangladesh; and SR 17,288 — the Philippines. Value Added Tax (VAT) is excluded from these charges.
